Not yet. However I plan to release versions for IOS, Android, Steam and Windows. Unfortunately, the developer accounts required to release on these platforms aren't cheap so they'll have to wait for now.
Squatzee is available for Amazon Kindle. Send me an email if you have a Kindle and would like to have access to the live test.
Squatzee was briefly playable on the original Casio calculator watch. Unfortunately this resulted in a tear in spacetime and I had to delete the code in order to save the whales, and a few humans I like too.
Squatzee is a physics based game - those dice roll according to the laws of physics (as interpreted by Unity). Occasionally the dice just aren't settling quickly enough or they get hung up on other dice. A little jiggle usually does the trick. In instances where a jiggle doesn't work, that dice will be moved to a clear location on the board and released.
On a similar note, when you roll selected dice you may notice them collide with dice left on the board. No worries, dice on the board are locked from rotating, they will get knocked around but they won't roll over to a different score.
Squatzee was written with online multiplayer in mind. I've looked at dozens of options for hosting the data necessary, including hosting my own server. None of the options are financially sustainable by this game. If you have suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Squatzee was created using Unity 2019. PaintShop Pro. Audacity, FontForge and lots of coffee.
Keep an ample stock of caffeine and alcohol. The alcohol helps when you have to delete hours of work because it's a dead end. the Caffeine will get you working again the next day.
Unity and Unreal are both outstanding game engines. I chose Unity because I heard it's easier for beginners. Plus, Unity uses C# for it's code and I had prior experience with that language.
I strongly recommend any of the courses offered on Udemy by Ben Tristam and GameDev.tv: https://www.udemy.com/courses/search/?q=GameDev.TV&src=sac&kw=gamedev
Play the game! Click all the buttons. Try to break it and let me know if you see anything that doesn't look right or that can be done better.
Spread the word! Share the FB post with your friends. Send 'em the link to https://www.just4funstudios.com/squatzee in an email or text.
Creating games takes a lot of coffee and a lot of beer. If you'd like to buy me a drink, you can click the Donations button above to send a little motivation via PayPal.
